A New York City-scented candle is definitely something no one asked for

If you’ve ever been to New York City, you know that it has a, let’s say, unique smell.

There are tons of people in NYC, tons of different foods, and in the summer, the subway system lacks oxygen and air flow, so yeah, it may smell a little (or a lot), but that’s part of the charm!

A fragrance company called diptyque Paris has managed to reproduce NYC’s indescribable scent and turn it into a candle that, as they claim, captures “the scent of the city that never sleeps…”

Hmmm, we don’t know what this candle could possibly smell like, but Twitter users and NYC natives have some ideas. The general consensus is… urine.

We’re hoping this company’s target market isn’t New Yorkers because it looks like NYC residents get enough of this scent out on their doorsteps.

Maybe try selling New Yorkers a vanilla-scented candle so they could escape the smell of NYC and not bring it into their homes? Just a thought.
