A swarm of 20,000 bees took over woman’s car and it’s horrifying

One buzzing bee is bad enough — imagine an infestation of up to 20,000.

Shirley Taylor from Hull, England received a text from her neighbor warning her to be careful when she got home. The vehicle had been completely taken over by a swarm of bees.

Taylor told the BBC that the sight of them was hair-raising. Both she and her granddaughter were were stung by rogue bees.

Chairman of the Beverley Beekeepers’ Association, Chris Coulson, said it could take some time to safely move the hive. “We are trying to make them fly,” he said. “In the box on top of the car we have young bees, some eggs and things like that and the bees in the car will hopefully try to cover those to make sure they don’t die.”

Hopefully the bees can be comfortably relocated to a better home — preferably one that’s not sitting in a driveway.
